Business Advice

CRISP offers free advice and support to local businesses and community groups on sustainable development issues and runs a range of projects engaging different sectors of the community in on-going environmental projects:

Projects

     

  • BASE (Business Advisory Service on the Environment)

     

  • BEIP (Business Environmental Improvements Programme) sponsored by the Elephant Links Partnership

     

  • Community Workshops

     

  • Community Sustainable Development Indicators

CRISP also contributes to community capacity building by holding positions in a number of important local networks: CRISP is a member of the Aylesbury Plus Physical Environment Group, acts as Chair of the Elephant Links Partnership Quality of Life and Environment Sub Group, is the Chair of the Elephant Links Partnership Development Executive Team, and is a deputy member of the Elephant Links Partnership Board.

Future Project Development

CRISP is currently developing a number of project areas aimed at supporting and enabling Southwark residents, community groups, voluntary sector organisations and local businesses to adopt more sustainable life styles, including:

  • Community Capacity Building with local residents and community groups through initiatives such as:
  • the Organisational Mentoring Programme
  • Testing the Mix Project (encouraging and enabling greater participation in environmental projects by black and ethnic minorities)
  • Community Internet Project (allowing community groups to access to internet through the use of recycled IT equipment),
  • Community Safety / Recycled Mobile Phones Project (supplying personal alarms to vulnerable individuals by reconfiguring recycled mobile phones)
